A Review of Blood Work by Michael Connelly

Cover

Medically retired FBI agent Terry McCaleb just recently received a new heart. He got the heart from a woman who had been shot in a gas station robbery. Easy enough. Then Graceiella Rivers steps on his boat asking for his help. Her sister is the one who was killed in the gas station. Terry takes the job against his doctor's orders. Ok this is interesting. A highly trained FBI agent taking on what appears to be a "simple" murder rather than some crazy killer that no one else can solve. Then in the last 100 pages he loses me. Would have been a lot cooler to see Terry solve this case rather than turn it into some crazy killer story. Looking forward to reading more Bosch stories rather than side characters in the Bosch universe.
